HispaSubs helps viewers distinguish regional Spanish usage instead of relying on a generic language label. It examines subtitle text in real time and presents the detected dialect in the player interface.

- Neutral: Marks tracks with balanced usage or no strongly regional terms.
- Spanish (unclassified): Replaces the previous “Generic” label for tracks without a more specific classification.
Subtitle sources and performance
OpenSubtitles V3 is supported by default, while optional SubDL integration can expand the catalog. SubDL ZIP archives are decompressed in memory and classified as Castilian, Latin American, or neutral.
The addon is designed to run lightly at the Edge, with responses in milliseconds and no storage of user data or credentials. Version 1.1.0 also addresses series with encoded IDs and a SubDL filtering issue.
